Improved Functionality in Version 4.4.8 Released September, 2014

  • Cutouts are now displayed in the same color as the background.
  • The Properties Panel label for "OnBottom" has been changed to "On This Side". Note: This button is enabled whenever the object, including PEMs, is on the side facing you. (Fixed defect in previous releases, in which PEMs were indicated as "OnBottom" when they were facing away from you.)
  • Improved Unicode Character Support: Previously, Unicode characters (language scripts, punctuation marks, diacritics, mathematical and technical symbols, etc.) caused Designer files to become corrupted. These characters are now supported. Note: This functionality does not work on previously corrupted files. If you want to use a previous file, first send it to designer@protocase.com; we will fix the Unicode issue and return the fixed file to you at no charge.
