About Installation & Setup

Error when Installing Protocase Designer on a Mac OSX Mountain Lion

If you get an error message that ProtocaseDesigner is damaged and can't be opened and that you should move it to the Trash, it means that Protocase Designer has not been registered with Apple.
To register Protocase Designer with Apple:

  1. In System Preferences > Security & Privacy, set Allow applications downloaded from: to "Anywhere".
  2. Click the lock icon in the bottom left corner that reads "Click the lock to make changes."
  3. Start Protocase Designer.
  4. Once Designer is running, reset the Apple system security in step 1 to "Mac App Store and identified developers".
