==Material Thickness Notes==

For information on Protocase material-specific design considerations including dimensions, uses, finishes, fasteners, welding, stocked gauges, and compatibilities, see:
*Standoff and stud height is measured from the outside of the enclosure. This means that the height of a standoff / stud has nothing to do with the material thickness.

*All measurements on the Face Editor are from the outside of the enclosure. This means that you do need to take material thickness into account when trying to align a connector or board against the inside of the case.

*To get the material thickness, email sales@protocase.com with the type (aluminum, cold rolled steel, etc.), the size, and the style (u-shape, 20" wide, 10" high, 15" deep). We will get back to you with a material thickness.

This page on the Protocase Designer site is the same as the [http://www.protocase.com/products/materials-components-finishes/ '''Materials, Components, & Finishes'''] page on the Protocase site, except that it separates items supported by Designer from those that must be added by our manufacturing technicians. To include such items in your enclosure manufacturing, you can use Designer to [[Face_Editor#Adding_notes_to_objects | '''add Notes''']] to your design file, requesting our technicians to add them.
